Conversational search is when someone types or speaks a full question instead of a few keywords. Instead of searching "dentist Phoenix," they ask "Who's the best dentist in Phoenix for anxious patients?" This shift changes everything about how search engines and AI tools interpret intent — and what content gets surfaced in response.
Why it matters
Your customers are already searching this way, especially on mobile and with AI assistants. If your content is written for old-school keyword matching but not for natural language questions, you're writing for a search behavior that's rapidly becoming obsolete.
The mistake most people make
