Competitive Analysis

What it is

Competitive analysis is studying your competitors — their branding, messaging, pricing, online presence, strengths, and weaknesses — so you can make smarter decisions about your own brand.

Why it matters

You can't differentiate if you don't know what you're differentiating from. It shows you where the gaps are — positions nobody has claimed yet.

The mistake most people make

Only looking at direct competitors. Your real competition includes anyone your customer might choose instead — including doing nothing.
