What it is

User experience is every interaction a person has with your website — how easy it is to find things, how fast it loads, how clear the next step is, and how it makes them feel from landing to leaving. It's less about how a site looks and more about how it works.

Why it matters

A beautiful website with bad UX is like a gorgeous restaurant where no one can find the menu. People don't complain about bad UX — they just leave. Every time someone bounces off your site in frustration, that's a lead you didn't get.

The mistake most people make

Confusing UX with design. Good-looking is not the same as good-working. You need both. A site can win design awards and still convert no one because the experience of actually using it is confusing or slow or buried in the wrong order.
