Technical SEO

What it is

Technical SEO is the infrastructure layer of search optimization — the behind-the-scenes work that makes your site crawlable, indexable, fast, and functional for both search engines and users. It includes site speed, mobile responsiveness, site architecture, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, and structured data. It's the foundation everything else is built on.

Why it matters

You can write brilliant content and earn great backlinks, and still rank poorly if your site has technical problems. If Google can't properly crawl and index your pages, those pages simply don't exist in search results — no matter how good they are.

The mistake most people make

Skipping technical SEO entirely because it's not visible. Content is exciting. Backlinks feel tangible. But broken redirects, duplicate content issues, and slow load times are quietly destroying rankings every day for sites that look fine on the surface.
